Why a slash duplicate exists

Committees often copy the same word into both the employer box and the occupation box. Software then concatenates them with a slash, producing Homemaker/Homemaker. LobbyVault ranks that concatenated string separately from HOMEMAKER, HOUSEWIFE, and HOUSE WIFE. The $21,014,880 total is only the slash form. Combining it with HOMEMAKER’s much larger standalone total would mix two keys the FEC stored as different text.
